But now, as to whether there will be a resurrection of the dead––haven’t you ever read about this in the Scriptures? Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, God said,

And regarding your speculation on whether the dead are raised or not, don't you read your Bibles? The grammar is clear: God says,

But about the dead coming back to life, have you no knowledge of what was said to you by God in the Writings:

¹ tn Grk “spoken to you by God, saying.” The participle λέγοντος (legontos) is redundant here in contemporary English and has not been translated.
